Play North is the moniker of Nicol Craig, a skilled freelance professional who specialises in editing, animation, and motion design. Nicol is an experienced professional with over 13 years in the game. With a wide variety of experience, he started his career as a post-production sound designer after achieving a Master's in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh and for the last decade has been focussed on 2D motion design, animation and editing.
His work includes projects for many top-tier clients including The BBC, STV, L’Oreal, Heinz, Tennent’s, Innis & Gunn, Macallan, The Famous Grouse, Skyscanner, Baillie Gifford, Ooni & Jazz Scotland.

Hidden Door
Hidden Door is a volunteer-run music and arts festival that transforms derelict buildings and urban spaces into a platform for artists, musicians, theatre makers, filmmakers and poets. It’s been great to watch the festival grow steadily since 2014 into one of the city’s main cultural events, bringing in some of the best acts around.
